We are the premier provider of hot dip galvanizing services.
Bob Monnig founded Monnig Industries in 1960 in Glasgow, Missouri. The company quickly established a reputation for being the premier hot-dip galvanizer in the Midwest. The family now operates four other plants throughout the midwest.
We currently operate three kettles, one 33’ x 5’4” x 8’ and two 25’ x 5’ x 8’ft to meet the needs and demands of our customers. These three kettles and room to expand means that capacity is never a problem.
We treat our customers like family.
At Monnig Industries, each customer is critical to our success. Therefore, customer satisfaction is our highest priority. We provide each customer a genuine, personalized experience to fit their specific needs to assure the highest levels of quality and satisfaction.
To further assure customer satisfaction:
- We provide quick turnaround.
- We have simple pricing. This means we have no hidden fees or charges.
- We value honesty and integrity.
- Our customers can talk to anyone in our company at any time.
- We are focused on our customers and our customer service. We strive to create solid, trusting, long-term relationships with our customers.
- We do not have a sales department; we work directly with our customers and can answer any question that may arise.
- We can offer turnkey galvanizing services to our customers and are adaptable to our customers' needs.
We take the necessary precautions to protect our environment.
Protecting our environment is unquestionably important, which is why our plants are designed to be “Zero discharge”. We are frequently contacted for the use of the by-products that are produced from hot-dip galvanizing, such as dross, skims, and crystals. If you are interested in obtaining these by-products, please let us know. Here at Monnig Industries, we constantly work with key advisors such as Marsh & McLennan to ensure that we are always on the cutting edge of environmental and safety issues.
Our Story
Bob Monnig founded Monnig Industries in 1960 to support the burgeoning steel fabrication industry in mid-Missouri to eliminate the need to transport product back and forth to Kansas City or St. Louis. Initially, Monnig focused on cooling towers and miscellaneous structures, but over time began serving the recreational (boat docks), transportation (rail and highway), agriculture, and many other industries. Capacity was increased from one to two kettles in the mid 1980s and again in 2006 to help rebuild after hurricane Katrina.
We are a family business through and through with John Monnig still representing the second generation. Jason Monnig, Ryan Monnig, and Jeremiah Johnson represent the third. Tony Monnig, Tom Monnig, Tim Monnig, and Ron Monnig each contributed in key ways over the years as management/ownership.
Giving back to the community as always been part of the Monnig DNA. Key donations have been given to St. Mary’s School and the Glasgow Public School System to assist in various ways. The Bob Monnig Charitable Trust has helped ensure the continuation of health care in Glasgow by brokering a deal with BJC (Boone Hospital), refreshed Water Street with a new stage and railing installation. Other family projects have included a new community track, support for the local YMCA, and numerous other charitable causes, both big and small.
